Ok...I have to admit something...as I was getting ready for my shower a little while ago...the thought of me turning 40 years old in 3 months caused a little widespread panic within me. Oh, I knew that this was coming. I had not ever dreaded the day...until TONIGHT!!! When I think about people who are 40...I don't really see myself there yet. Or better yet, I don't want to believe that I am actually knocking on the 4 decades door!!! I remember when my own mother was 40. Lordy mercy, I thought that she had one foot in the grave at that age. I vividly remember thinking that I had the OLDEST mother in the world. Heaven help me...I'm there!!! I love that the majority of my closest friends are 8, 10, and even 13 years younger than me. They are keeping me young at heart. My friends that are older than me, are my role models of the woman I hope to be!!! Thanks girls...you are all the BEST!!!!
I will go now, I have to smear wrinkle cream on my face, take a couple of Ibuprofen, turn on my heating pad... and rest!
