Roses Are Red, Violets Are Blue

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone! It's a day to show the one you love how much they mean to you. As I was sitting here today, I was thinking back to our first Valentine's Day together as a couple. That would be February 14Th, 1992. 17 years ago! Kirk was so funny! Because I was in school to be a teacher..he was "amazed" by my ability to "create" a bulletin board. Little did he realize that my parents had spent thousands of dollars and I had spent countless hours to learn the fine art of bulletin board creation!!!! But, he thought I was so ingenious.
Our very first Valentine's together...he went over my parent's house while I was not there and "created" a Valentine's bulletin board HIMSELF declaring his love! It had it all. Crepe paper, glitter, hearts....you name and he glued, taped and stapled it all to a piece of poster paper. It was so sweet! He actually did pretty good on it to! I personally think he would have gotten a "A" from a few of my education professors also! Anyway, on the bed, under the "creation" there was an antique Valentine Candy box. He had gotten it from his Grandmother and filled it with Hershey Kisses. The box was so unique. I loved the fact that he got me something so different and unusual. The box is covered in real ribbon with real lace around the edges. his grandmother said that it was from the 1950's. I still have that box today. I love it so much. Here is a picture of it! Happy Valentine's Day Kirk! You will always be mine!
