What a Fun Day!

We spent the day at the Birmingham Zoo. It was actually Emma's birthday, so me, Nicholas, Allison, Madeline and Emma went to the Zoo for the day. We had so much fun. It has been a really long time since I have actually gone there. I was really impressed with the animal exhibits. Our favorite was the monkeys. They were extremely active and playful while we were there. The kids didn't want to leave there. They were laughing and having a good time watching the monkeys play around. We even got to feed the lorakeets. The kids were a little skiddish of the idea of having a bird land on them...ME TOO...but guess who ended up with the cup of of food and...A BIRD on them...Check out the pictures...Another huge highlight of the day was the CAMEL rides!!!! Yes...we actually paid to let our kids mount a humongous camel and ride around. It was precious! They were all grinning from ear to ear when they came back around to where we were. What a fun day...riding the train...petting the animals, and just enjoying the day with each other...we are so lucky to have such a close family!!!! Happy 5th birthday, Emma!
